The okra is a vegetable, it looks a bit like a small angular zucchini but is richer in taste. Because of the pointy tip it is also called ladyfingers. It is very diverse, you can eat it raw in a salad, fry it or use it in a stir-fry, but also stewed and barbecued it is delicious.

Cooking with okra:

If you slice the okra, the juice is quite sticky, so it is also used as a binder. Prepare the okra as a whole, if you don’t want the juices to run out. Wash the okra and remove the stalk, it is now ready to cook.
